License Statistics version 6.17 includes the new features, enhancements and fixes detailed below. Most of these improvements were made in response to customer feedback. For more information on how we incorporate customer feedback into our development process, see Customer-driven development.

Project files structure
This release changed the file organization for Linux installations in order to enable automated updates for future upgrades of License Statistics.
When upgrading to v6.17, it's important to follow the License Statistics upgrade procedure, especially for updating an embedded database. Most importantly:
- Be sure to create a backup of the License Statistics database, as the embedded "mysql/data" directory location has been changed
- Do not use a "quick update" procedure when upgrading to this release
- Follow the instructions in Updating License Statistics (for most users, Updating from version 5.15 and newer)
