License Statistics version 7.0 includes the new features, enhancements and fixes detailed below. Most of these improvements were made in response to customer feedback. For more information on how we incorporate customer feedback into our development process, see Customer-driven development

License Statistics v7.0 no longer supports the deprecated MySQL v8.0 database. Make sure to follow the proper update procedure matching your scenario.

For help troubleshooting any issues with migration to MySQL v8.4, see Upgrading to MySQL 8.4.

With License Statistics v7.0, we have introduced a new support policy, which includes support for eight minor versions and all bugfix versions prior to the current version. The support policy applies to:

  • installers' availability on the download portal
  • supporting direct updates using the installers (MSI, RPM, and DEB)
  • supporting database server versions that are currently supported by their vendor
  • supporting data migrations
  • new licenses working with supported versions only
  • providing phone and online help by our Support Team

As part of introducing this new policy, as of License Statistics v7.0, installers released prior to License Statistics v6.18 will not be available on the download portal, except for those required to provide a migration chain from older versions.

More details can be found on Updating License Statistics.

  • Share dashboards throughout your organization using a dedicated link that provides a read-only version of the dashboard

  • Add new widgets (pinnable charts, reports, etc.) directly from the dashboard page

  • Customize the widgets to include the settings and details you want to see

LICSTAT-24870

Disabled support for Autodesk cloud monitoring

Because License Statistics can no longer collect Autodesk cloud-based license information reliably and securely, the following Autodesk-related data will no longer be available in License Statistics reports:

  • Number of available Autodesk licenses from the cloud portal
  • Information about users assigned to licenses through Autodesk’s web interface
  • License details fetched directly from the Autodesk cloud

This change affects only cloud-based monitoring of Autodesk licenses. You can still use License Statistics Agent to continue to collect detailed usage information about Autodesk software running locally on your Autodesk workstations.

In a future release, we plan to reintroduce most of this functionality by using data importing
