In addition to learning about the changes in this release, we highly recommend reviewing the License Statistics v6.0 Release Notes, License Statistics v5.15 Release Notes and License Statistics v5.14 Release Notes if you are upgrading from an older version.

License Statistics Agent

With this release, we're happy to introduce a new License Statistics add-on tool, License Statistics Agent. This initial version of License Statistics Agent is the first iteration of our new long-term project that will significantly extend License Statistics capabilities. License Statistics Agent is a separate service installed independently from License Statistics directly on client/server hosts, where it gathers data and delivers it to the License Statistics application.

For this first version, License Statistics Agent supports monitoring of Autodesk license usage, directly on client hosts. You can expect much more in upcoming releases.

Autodesk

Information delivered by License Statistics Agent is combined with data gathered from the Autodesk cloud platform to enable License Statistics to deliver detailed statistics about Autodesk license usage.

The immediate need to support monitoring of Autodesk licenses was driven by Autodesk's plans to change their licensing model from network licenses (FlexNet License Manager) to user licenses.

New features

License Statistics v6.7 includes the following new features.

Note that some new features are available only when using the new licensing model (2019).
