To activate your license on Linux, you can either follow the instructions in Activating a License Statistics license online, or you can use the lacutil utility, which has the advantage of not requiring you to manually enter the HostID. The lacutil.exe file is located in the License Statistics/license directory.

To use lacutil to activate your License Statistics license:

  1. From a command line, run:
    ./lacutil -activate -act_key activation_key
where activation_key is your License Statistics license Activation Key (sent to you via email).

  2. Restart License Statistics (see Starting and stopping License Statistics on Linux for more information).

See Installing License Statistics on Linux for additional instructions on getting License Statistics up and running after activating your license.
