This page refers to functionality that has been deprecated in License Statistics. 


The information on this page refers to License Statistics versions prior to v6.18, which removed the ability to manage licenses using the License Statistics Manager and introduced the CLI. For activation options available with License Statistics v6.18 and newer, see Activating a License Statistics license. 

To activate your license on Linux, the preferred method is to use the lacutil utility, located in the License Statistics /license directory, as described below. If you have any issues using lacutil, you may try activating the license online.

To use lacutil to activate your License Statistics license:

  1. From a command line, run:
    ./lacutil -activate -act_key activation_key
    where activation_key is your License Statistics license Activation Key (sent to you via email).

  2. Copy generated license file to license directory
  3. Restart License Statistics (see Starting and stopping License Statistics on Linux for more information).
