When you enter the End User Portal to activate a license belonging to a bulk license order, you see a page similar to the following:

Note that if no licenses have been activated yet, the Download button does not appear. From this page, you can either activate a new license or download an existing license, as described in "Activating a new license" and "Downloading an existing license", below.

Activating a new license

The following example shows that 30 activations are allowed and 24 remain, indicating that 6 licenses have been activated. Let's activate a new license under this license order.

To activate a new license:

  1. Open the panel with HostID(s) by clicking the Activate button on the main page.

    A page opens that shows information you need to enter to activate your license.



  2. Enter the required HostID information, such as Ethernet, Hostname, IP Address, Username, etc. You can also import HostIDs from the string as a comma-separated list of types and values (for example, USERNAME=John, HOSTNAME=office.john) by clicking the Import button.

  3. If required, select the Optional HostID Type. This is an optional field that may contain a list of additional HostID(s) that can be specified to activate the license. If this field is greyed out, no optional HostID information is required and you can skip this step.

  4. Activate your license by clicking the Activate button.

    After activating the license, a page opens that displays the message: "License activated successfully", as shown below.



    The page that opens also lists information about the license, including License Status, Activation Time, Expiration Date, Maintenance End Date, and HostIDs.

  5. Download the activated license by clicking the Download button.

Downloading an existing license

The following example shows that 30 activations are allowed and 23 remain, indicating that 7 licenses have been activated. Let’s download a license belonging to this license order. (Note that the Download button is not visible if you have not activated any licenses.)

To download an existing license:

  1. Click the Download button on the main page. 
     
    An Activated Licenses panel opens that lists information about licenses activated under this license order.



  2.  Click the Download license file icon to download your license.
     
     Note that you can also view license status by clicking the View license status icon, as shown below.
