You define the general settings for a template using the General tab of the Template dialog. General settings include:

Template Name | A descriptive name that identifies the template. |
| License File Name | The name to give the license file. The name defaults to license_%TIME%.lic, where %TIME% is a variable that indicates when the license is activated, using the format YYYY_MM_DD-hh_mm. For example: "license_2012_11_28-18_30.lic." You can replace this default with a custom file name (for example, "mylicense.txt"). You can use the %TIME% variable, which is case-insensitive, one or more times; for example, "%time%_mylicense_%TIME%.lic" will result in a file name like "2012_11_28-18_30_mylicense_2012_11_28-18_30.lic." |
License Type | The type of license (Network or Local). |
Licensee Type | The type of entity that the license will be created for (Fixed, Customer, Unspecified). |
Licensee | The name of the person, company, etc. that will be receiving the license. (Optional.) |
| Activations Allowed | The number of concurrent licenses that can be activated under the license order. |
Deactivations Allowed | The maximum number of end-user license deactivations that are allowed using the SOAP API. |
Description | A description of the license order. (Optional.) |
