License type
License Statistics needs to have a valid license loaded in order to work. The types of licenses are described in the tables below.
License type by purpose

This is the default license type that is loaded if no other valid license was delivered. It's not possible to run Trial license with database which already has data older than trial start. It's not possible to run Trial license on the host where commercial license was loaded before. Trial license has limitation in terms of collecting some data, which is described in Trial section. |
| Perpetual | Limited users and license servers | Permanent | 1 year | Commercial license delivered to customers. This license type has no limit in terms of License Statistics expiry, but it has time-limited maintenance. |
| University | Unlimited | 1 year | 1 year | Commercial subscription license for academic use only. |
| Test | Depends on Sales or Support decision | 14 Days | Depends on Sales or Support decision | Technical license delivered by X-Formation Sales or Support team in order to solve a customer's problem. |

All purpose license types (except Trial) described above can be delivered with one of the following variations.
