Old licensing is deprecated as of version 6.0, but will continue to work with all License Statistics versions including 5.x and 6.x according to rules described in the License Transition section.
License type by license server gathering type
All purpose license types can be delivered with one or both gathering types.

License type by user counting
All purpose license types described above can can be delivered with one of user counting types variations.

License limits
Limiting number of Users
Commercial licenses are delivered with user limit which is the maximum number of unique users (usernames or user-host pairs) which can be monitored by License Statistics in specified time range separately for each gathering type:
- Realtime User Count limit is the maximum number of users monitored on realtime license servers in last 14 days.
- Imported User Count limit is the maximum number of users monitored on imported license servers in entire history (all imported users are counted).
Denied User Count are unlimited - user denials are not counted to user license limit in the licensing.
Limiting number of License Servers
Commercial licenses are delivered with license server limit which is the maximum number of license servers added to be monitored by License Statistics separately for each gathering type:
- Realtime License Servers limit is the maximum number of realtime license servers which can be actively monitored in the same time. License Servers which are disabled by the customer are not counted. Customer can add unlimited number of realtime license servers, but the application will start monitoring only the maximum number the license allows.
- Imported License Servers limit is the maximum number of license servers which can be imported to License Statistics using import logs. Only License Servers imported in last 3 months are counted towards the limit.
Licensing issues
In some cases License Statistics thresholds can be exceed. The application will react on this situation differently depends on the case. In the table below there are listed situations when the license is exceed or expired.
