License Type
License Statistics needs to have one valid license loaded in order to work. Types of licenses are described in tables below.
License Type by purpose

| Trial | Unlimited | 30 Days | No Maintenance | Delivered with License Statistics installer only. Can be used for evaluation and testing purposes only. It's the default license type which is loaded if no other valid license was delivered. |
| Perpetual | Limited Users and License Servers | Permanent | 1 year | Commercial license delivered to customers. It has no limit in terms of License Statistics expiry, but it has time-limited maintenance. |
| Subscription | Limited Users and License Servers | 1 year | 1 year | Commercial license delivered to customers. Both License Statistics expiry and maintenance are time-limited. |
| University | Unlimited | 1 year | 1 year | Commercial license for academic usage only. |
| Test | Depends on Sales or Support decision | 14 Days | No Maintenance | Technical license delivered by X-Formation Sales or Support team in order to solve the Customers problem. |
License Type by user counting
All purpose license types described above can can be delivered with one of user counting types variations.

License Type by license delivery type
All purpose license types (except Trial) described above can can be delivered with one of the variations.

| Node-locked | Default license type typical for single-instance installation. |
| Network | Optional when running multiple License Statistics instances. Requires separate LM-X License Manager instance to deliver the network license. |
