Activating a license
Your vendor may integrate license activation into their software application, which is the recommended method. If your software vendor has is not integrated license activation into their software, you can activate your software license online. Your application vendor will supply you with information on how you should activate your license.
To activate and download a license:
- In a web browser, go to https://license.x-formation.com.
- Enter the activation key associated with the license (provided by your software vendor) in the Activate License section of the log in page, then click Log in. A page opens that shows the associated license information (product name and version, creation/activation date, etc.).
- If this is the first time the license is downloaded, enter the hostid of the machine where the license is being installed in the Hostid Value field.
- After entering the hostid, activate the license by clicking the Activate button.
- Download the activated license by clicking the Download button.
After activating and downloading the license, you can re-download the license at any time by following steps 1 and 4 above. (On subsequent downloads, the hostid will be filled in, and you need only click the Download button to obtain the license.)
