For versions older then 4.12 it's mandatory to update to 4.12 first due to replaced database migration system replaced. In such case please contact X-Formation Support to obtain License Statistics v4.12 before following the procedure. |

- Back up the following files, located in the License Statistics installation directory by default:
- configuration file (xflicstat.cfg)
- license file (license.lic)
- 3rd party utilities (for example, query tools)
- Back up database (embedded - script, external - manual)
- Stop License Statistics service.
- Remove the current installation.
Install License Statistics v4.12.
Info Note: Do not run License Statistics yet.
- Import database (embedded - script, external - manual)
- Restore the license file (license.lic).
Restore the configuration file (xflicstat.cfg).
Start License Statistics.
Info Make sure the database was migrated properly and the applications runs before you continue.
- Follow the update instruction to update from v4.12 to the newest version .
