For installations older then v4.12 11.1, it's mandatory required to update to v4.12 first, due to incompatible 11.1 before upgrading to newer versions because the database migration system . In such case please contact X-Formation Support to obtain License Statistics v4.12 before following the procedure. was changed in v4.11.1. |
- Back up the following files:
- License Statistics configuration file (xflicstat.cfg), located in the License Statistics installation directory by default
- License Statistics
- configuration file (xflicstat.cfg)
- license file (license.lic), located in the License Statistics installation directory by default
- 3rd party utilities (for example, query tools), which should be moved to a location outside of the License Statistics installation directory to avoid their removal by the installer
- Back up database (embedded - script, external - manual)the database, depending on which database hosting you are using:
- Stop License Statistics service.
- Remove the current installation.
Install License Statistics v4.1211.1.
Info Do not run License Statistics yet.
- Import database (embedded - script, external - manual)
- Restore the license file (license.lic).
- Restore the database, depending on which database hosting you are using:
- Restore the files you backed up in step 1, including:
- License Statistics configuration file (xflicstat.cfg)
- License Statistics license file (license.lic)
Info Make sure the database was migrated properly and the applications application runs before you continue.
- Follow the instruction instructions to update from v4.11.12 1 to the newest version .
