Application vendors can optionally allow end users to deactivate their own licenses a specific number of times. Check with your vendor to see whether license deactivation is allowed, how to deactivate the license, and the number of times the license can be deactivated. Only licenses that have already been activated can be deactivated.
If your vendor has allowed license deactivations, you can execute the SOAP API function DeactivateLicense to deactivate an activated license. The license will be deactivated only if there are remaining deactivations allowed, and each Each deactivation decreases the number of deactivations that remain for that license. After the license has been deactivated the maximum allowed number of times, the license cannot be deactivated again, and you must contact your vendor concerning any further deactivations of the license.
