Read-only mode was introduced in License Statistics 6.0 for the user convenience. It allows to allow users to run application License Statistics and make do basic administration tasks even if the license was limits have been exceeded or the license/maintenance has expired. License Statistics versions prior to 6.0 where would not starting start up in most of cases related to license over-usage overuse or passed exceeded expiration time.

Cases where License Statistics will run in read-only mode
Read-only mode will be enable automatically in the situations listed belowis enabled automatically when the:
- Version of the application is higher than the version in the license.
- License (including Trial) has expired.
- Maintenance has expired, but application License Statistics was upgraded.
- Users limit exceeds Number of users monitored exceeds the limit set in the license limit.
- License Server limit exceeds Number of license servers monitored exceeds the limit set in the license limit.

While read-only mode is running, it 's is possible to:
- Log in to License Statistics.
- Access the

- access Realtime Users Count report
- manage Manage user preferences
- perform Perform all administration actions, in particularincluding:

Read-only mode limitations
While read-only mode is running, it 's is not possible to:
- display any data on reports, grids and charts different other than those listed abovein the previous section
- monitor any Realtime License Serverslicense servers, which will all of them will be blocked from querying
- import any log files
