The information on this page refers to License Statistics v6.9 and newer, which introduced Agent groups. If you are using a version previous to v6.9, see documentation for previous versions.

Administrative users can create and manage groups using the Group page, found under the Administration section in the left navigation pane.

You can query License Statistics data by groups of users, hosts, license servers and Agents. For example, you can define user groups that specify types of users, such as the department the users are in, the platform they use, etc. Each user, host or license server can be included in as many groups as needed; they are not limited to a single group.

Groups can be specified in custom queries and can be selected in certain reports, such as Features - History - Usage Per User report, to filter results by a chosen group.

For user groups, you can optionally connect to an LDAP server to import LDAP user groups.
