Configuring data sharing settings

License Statistics administrators can configure settings for sharing anonymous information on the usage of the application using the Miscellaneous page under the Administration section. This page is not visible to non-administrative License Statistics users.

From the Misc tab, you can decide whether you want to have anonymous information on how you are using the application collected and sent to X-Formation for the purpose of improving the quality of the product.

After you log in, the License Statistics web application opens to the Dashboard page. Unless you have already configured this setting, we will then ask you to decide whether you agree to participate in the collection of anonymous information on how you use License Statistics. You can also change your decision later, as described in Enabling or disabling the collection of information, below.

Note: By default, the collection of anonymous usage statistics is disabled.

Reasons for collecting usage statistics

X-Formation is trying to better understand how you are using License Statistics, so that we can continue to develop a high-quality product that can provide even better user experience.

Information collected

If you indicate your agreement, License Statistics will collect the following information:

• most frequently used usage reports
• most commonly used License Statistics versions
• the number of sessions in which a page was viewed
• average session duration
• other anonymous metrics

Enabling or disabling the collection of information

You can change your data sharing settings at any time by selecting the Misc tab from the Administration page. Under the Misc tab, check or uncheck the "Help improve the quality of License Statistics by allowing X-Formation to collect information on how you use the product" checkbox as desired to enable or disable sharing your usage statistics.
