The information on this page refers to License Statistics v4.8 or newer, which added a Denied Users column to the Realtime Users Count report. If you are using a previous version newer than v4.2, see v4.3 documentation. If you are using 4.2 or older, see documentation for previous versions.

To see a report on the user count for all realtime servers, select the Realtime Users Count tab from the Reports page.

The Realtime Users Count report includes a table and graph that show the number of Concurrent Hosts, Total Users, Daily Users, and Denied Users on all realtime servers for every day usage is monitored, as illustrated below.

  • Concurrent Hosts is a count of unique hostnames that were concurrently active on all realtime license servers on a particular date. License Statistics ensures that this value cannot exceed the limit of total users specified in the License Statistics license.
  • Total Users gives a count of the total number of users/hosts who were using a license throughout the 14 days prior to the date in the specific table row. This total can be used to determine your needs for License Statistics licensing.
For more information about how the user count is determined, see Determining license usage.
  • Daily Users is a count of unique usernames that were using a license on the particular date.
  • Denied Users is a count of all users that were denied a license.
  • You can click the "User history for last 14 days" icon under the Action column to see a list of all usernames and hostnames using a license throughout the 14 days prior to the date selected. For example, if you select to view the user history for 2014/03/31, the history will show all usernames and hostnames for 2014/03/16 through 2014/03/31. (The date range is shown in the title of the history report.)
