This page refers to functionality that has been removed from License Statistics. Reports have been restructured and reorganized as of License Statistics v6.14. The contents of the Usage History Comparison report have been moved to Features - History - Usage Comparison.

To see a report that compares usage history, select the Usage History Comparison tab from page under the Reports pagesection in the left navigation pane.

You can compare up to 10 features. To do a new usage comparison, select New Usage Comparison. You can save the usage comparison using the Save button below the grid. You can then edit or remove an existing Usage History Comparison.

To compare feature usage:

  1. Click Add Feature. The License server defaults to the previously selected license server.
  2. Select a different license server if desired.
  3. Select the feature to compare to the previously selected feature(s).
  4. Click Apply. A graph that compares the selected features is shown at the bottom of the page. (Note that the Feature Usage History grid no longer displays when comparing features.)
  5. Repeat the above steps to add more features to compare.

To remove a feature from the list of features to compare:

  1. Click Remove Feature. The last feature in the list is removed.
  2. To update the graph, click Apply.
  3. Repeat the above steps to remove as many features as desired from the comparison list.

In the grid Features on Usage Comparison you can add and remove features.

Advanced filtering works the same as the filtering in the Feature usage history page.

The option, "Show aggregated licenses data on the graph", displays an extra line with the sum for all features (one each for total, borrowed and used licenses).

To create a report:

  1. Select New Usage Comparison from the Usage History Comparison drop-down list at the top of the page.
  2. Under the Manage Features in Comparison area, select the features you want to include in the report from the All Features grid, and then click Add to add them to the Feature On Comparison grid.
You can also drag and drop your selections between the lists to add or remove them from the report.
  3. Adding a feature to the Feature On Comparison list will automatically open a dialog that lets you enter a name and optional description for the report. After completing this information, click Save to create the report.
  4. In the Settings area, select the Grouped by and Time Interval filtering to apply to the report, as described for the Feature usage history page.

If you have a large number of comparisons, you can find the report you are interested in quickly by entering all or part of the report name in the Usage History Comparison drop-down. For example, if you type "y" as a filter, only the saved reports that include the letter "y" will appear in the list, as illustrated below.
