This release changed the file organization for Linux installations in order to enable automated updates for future upgrades of License Statistics.

When upgrading to v6.17, it's important to follow the License Statistics upgrade procedure, especially for updating an embedded database. Most importantly:

It will be possible to upgrade License Statistics on Linux without uninstalling it when upgrading v6.17+ to newer releases. 

Upgrading License Statistics from versions prior to v6.17
  • to v6.17 and newer still requires a one-time manual upgrade, as done for all previous releases
  • After upgrading to v6.17, you'll be able to upgrade License Statistics on Linux to  v6.17 and newer without uninstalling

Server mode was added to License Statistics Agent as a platform to manage license servers and other features in the future.

The first iteration allows for remote operations like Start, Stop and Restart the server. Applies initial implementation of license server management allows starting, stopping and restarting a license server directly from the License Statistics UI. Currently applies only to LM-X and FlexNet license servers at the moment.
