You can query License Statistics data by groups of users or , hosts, and license servers. For example, you can define user groups that specify types of users, such as the department the users are in, the platform they use, etc. Each user, host or host license server can be included in as many groups as needed; they are not limited to a single group.
Groups can be specified in custom queries and can be selected in certain reports, such as Usage Per User (see Usage Per User report), to filter results by a chosen user or host group.
OptionallyFor user groups, you can optionally connect to an LDAP server to import user groups, as described in Importing importing LDAP user groups.
