Administrative users can create and manage groups using the Group page, found under the Administration section in the left navigation pane.

You can query License Statistics data by groups of users, hosts, and license servers and Agents. For example, you can define user groups that specify types of users, such as the department the users are in, the platform they use, etc. Each user, host or license server can be included in as many groups as needed; they are not limited to a single group. You create and manage groups in the Administration page.

Groups can be specified in custom queries and can be selected in certain reports, such as as Features - History - Usage Per User reports report, to filter results by a chosen group.

License server groups will be listed with the gathering type specified as "Realtime Group" or "Imported Group" in license server lists throughout License Statistics, and act in the same way as individual license servers. 

For user groups, you can optionally connect to an LDAP server to import LDAP user groups.
