1. Back up the following files, located in the License Statistics installation directory by default:
   • configuration file (xflicstat.cfg)
   • license file (license.lic)
   • move 3rd party utilities (for example, query tools) to some directory location outside of the License Statistics installation directory
2. Back up database (embedded - script, external - manual)
3. Download the License Statistics installation from the License Statistics download page.
4. Stop License Statistics service.
5. Remove the current installation.

6. Upgrade the /install new database server to MySQL 5.7 as instructed in Upgrading to MySQL v5.7. (external - only)

7. Install License Statistics

   Info
   Note: Do not run License Statistics yet.

   
   

8. Import database (embedded - script, external - manual)
9. Import/activate the license.

10. Import configuration file (xflicstat.cfg).

    Important: If you created a new MySQL database in step 56, make sure you are using the proper credentials for the new MySQL 5.7 database.

    Install License Statistics

    Note: Do not run License Statistics yet.

11. Activate license.

13. Start License Statistics.
14. Test that License Statistics is running normally.
15. Update query tool paths in License Statistics administration to new directory.
