This page refers to functionality that has been removed from License Statistics.
In order to monitor standalone application usage, the Usage Client starts the client application, and at the same time consumes one floating license from an LM-X license server that is installed on a server machine. In this way, the Usage Client is able to report license usage for the standalone application in the same manner as for a regular floating license application. This process is transparent to the end user of the standalone application.
By modifying the configuration file (xfusageclient.cfg), you can control behavior such as what action to take when the Usage Client fails to acquire a license from the license server and whether to enable automatic license server discovery.
