This page describes X-Formation's policy for supporting updating License Statistics from an older version to a newer version. 

We must limit the ability to directly upgrade to the newest version due to accumulated software changes that result in incompatibilities between versions, such as:

• database migration system changes
• MySQL server version updates
• installation procedures changes

We will maintain the ability to update an older version of License Statistics to the latest version for at least 2 years, including the ability to:

• download installers
• update License Statistics directly using the installer
• automatically update using Windows, RPM and DEB installers
• migrate the old database
• update MySQL directly

If your License Statistics version is more than 2 years old, we may be unable to support a direct upgrade to the newest License Statistics version. Older versions may require upgrading to a newer version before you are able to upgrade to the most current version.
