The Log page in the LM-X License Server UI lets you view and download the LM-X license server log.

Downloading the log

The Download Log button gives you the option to download the entire log or only the log contents currently visible on the page.

Downloading the log creates a file named “lmxserver_date.log”; for example, “lmxserver_2025-03-09.log.” (If multiple downloads are done on the same date, the filename for the subsequent download(s) will be appended with a sequential number; for example, “lmxserver_2025-03-09 (1).log.”)

Log options

Options for viewing, copying and refreshing the log are available in the upper right of the Log page.

LM-X License Manager > Log page > log options.png

These options let you:

Set the number of lines to display in the report
Specify display options, including whether to colorize the report, display HTTPS data, and limit the report to only errors and warnings
Copy the log content to the clipboard
Refresh the log contents
