The information on this page refers to License Statistics v6.18 or newer, which changed the method for delivering a pre-release core file to customers. If you are running a version older than v6.18, see documentation for previous versions.

Although we make every effort to ensure License Statistics works out of the box with all supported license servers, there are occasional issues. If you experience problems with License Statistics, X-Formation Support may email you a link to download a patch file (core.jar) that contains the latest release components to fix the problem ahead of our regular release schedule. 

How to update License Statistics with a new core file

To update License Statistics with a new core file:

  1. Download the core.jar file using the link sent to you by X-Formation Support.
  2. Stop License Statistics. (See Starting and stopping License Statistics on Windows or Starting and stopping License Statistics on Linux.)

  3. Make a backup of the existing core.jar file: 

    {installation_directory}/core/core.jar


  4. Replace the old core.jar file with the new core.jar file sent to you by X-Formation Support.
  5. Restart License Statistics.
