"Access denied" error
"Access denied" error may be observed during the license checkout. Some LM-X license server features that you and/or your end user may optionally enable involve storing client data. For example, borrowing or checking out a floating license with enabled automatic server discovery require OS-level synchronization between different processes.
When checking out a license, If initiating one of the above actions may fail fails under Windows. In such cases, LM-X may return an the error code LMX_SYSTEM_INTERPROCESS indicating a resource locking error. Furthermore, if you want to borrow a license by setting the environment variable LMX_BORROW, you may see the following error:
