The information on this page refers to License Statistics v6.18 21 or newer, which removed the ability to activate licenses using the License Statistics Manager and introduced the CLI. License activation is now done using the Management tab on the Licensing page or using the CLI, which was introduced with v6.18. lacutil and license activator.exe tools. If you are using a version previous to v6.1821, see documentation for previous versions.

You must reactivate your license whenever you upgrade your license or renew your maintenance. The license is held in License Statistics storage and will be reused with new updates of License Statistics (unless you are instructed to update the license for any reason).

Use License Activatoron any Windows host with an internet connection
  • Upload activated license file using either:
    • UI (Administration > Licensing > Management tab)
      or
    • CLI (./xflicstat-cli.exe license import license_file)

    1. Go to the Management tab in the Administration > : Licensing > Management tab page  
    2. Set the Activation Key (optional)
    3. Use the Activate button

    2. From a command line, run:
      ./xflicstat-cli.exe license activate activation_key
      where activation_key is your License Statistics license Activation Key (sent to you via email).
    3. Start License Statistics 
    		lacutil
    1. Use lacutil on any Linux host with an internet connection
    2. Upload activated license file using either:
    3. UI (Administration > Licensing > Management tab)
      or
      4. CLI (./xflicstat-cli.exe license import license_file)
