The Realtime User Count report includes a table and graph that show the number of Concurrent Hosts and Daily Users on all realtime servers for every day usage is monitored.

  • Concurrent Hosts is a count of unique hostnames that were concurrently active on all realtime license servers on a particular date. License Statistics ensures that this value cannot exceed the limit of total users specified in the License Statistics license.

  • Daily Users is a count of unique usernames that were using a license on the particular date.

  • You In addition, you can click the "User history for last 14 days" icon under the Action column to see a list of all usernames and hostnames using a license throughout the 14 days prior to the date selected. For example, if you select to view the user history for 2012/03/31, the history will show all usernames and hostnames for 2012/03/16 through 2012/03/31. (The date range is shown in the title of the history report.)

The number of rows in the history report is the total number of users for the 14-day period. This total can be used to determine your needs for License Statistics licensing. For more information about how the user count is determined, see Determining usage for License Statistics licensing. For information about what to do if the user limit is exceeded, see Troubleshooting.

When you export the Realtime User Count table contents to a file (PDF, XLS, CSV, or SQL), your user preferences, including sorting, filtering, and hidden fields are retained. Your user preferences are saved in the database and are associated with your login credentials, so your settings will be the same regardless which computer you use to login to License Statistics. Note: The number of users shown in the 14-day user history can be used to determine your needs for License Statistics licensing. For more information about how the user count is determined, see Determining usage for License Statistics licensing. For information about what to do if the user limit is exceeded, see Troubleshooting.
